Welcome to West Liberty Farm.  WLF is a 7 acre farm just outside of DuBois, PA and is home to David and Amanda Chirico and their family.  Seven acres doesn't sound like a whole lot when you think about farms these days, but it sure keeps us busy.  We will raise about 1200 pastured broilers and a bit under an acre of vegetables for our CSA and farmers markets.  


Our philosophy of farming is to be good stewards of the land with which we have been entrusted, to build its natural fertility without artificial chemicals and to treat all creatures with respect.  To be good stewards is to remember that this land, currently "owned" by the Chirico family has a history as well as a future.  We are thankful for those who have passed the farm on to us and hope to improve the land for the generations to follow.

West Liberty Farm raises chickens in green pastures.  The chickens get sunshine, rain, fresh air, shelter and protection from predators.  They eat grass, legumes, bugs along with a mix of grains and an organic nutrient balancer.  They scratch in the dirt and love to stretch out in the sun.  Their feed contains NO hormones or antibiotics.
